eSIM QR code generator
Turn the activation string of an eSIM you hold into the QR code a phone scans to install it. Drawn on your own device; nothing you type is sent to us.
What is inside an eSIM QR code
One line of text: the activation code with LPA: in front. It holds no profile, no phone number, no ICCID and no key — just the address of the carrier's server and a one-time ticket for your order. The format is defined in GSMA SGP.22.
Example, which installs nothing: LPA:1$smdp.example.com$ABCD-1234-EFGH

Can I make an eSIM QR code without buying a plan?
No. The QR code only carries an activation string issued by a carrier or eSIM seller. Without that string there is nothing to draw, and none can be worked out from a phone number, ICCID or EID.
Where do I find the LPA string?
Printed under the QR code on a voucher, in the delivery email, or on the seller's order page. It starts with LPA:1$.
My phone asks for an SM-DP+ address and an activation code separately. Which is which?
The SM-DP+ address is the part between the first and second $. The activation code is the part after the second $, up to the next $ if there is one.
Can the same QR code be used twice?
Usually not. The first phone that installs the profile spends the code. Some sellers allow a reinstall on the same phone after deletion, but most carriers do not, so never delete a working profile to test it.
Will a phone read the code from paper?
Yes, if it is printed at actual size with its white margin intact. Keep it black on white, without logos or rounded corners; a 5 cm code reads from about half a metre.
Why does the tool warn about the ICCID?
The last digit of an ICCID is a Luhn check digit. A failed check usually means a typo or a spreadsheet that rounded a long number. The QR code itself does not contain the ICCID.
